Product Overview
The Retaining Rings are engineered components used to hold many types of assemblies together. They are precision engineered to accurately position, locate and retain parts on shafts or in bores. The rings are installed into a groove, and all the other components of the assembly sit against and are retained by the ring. This part is an external type retaining ring made of stainless steel material. Stainless steels are iron-based alloys, which contains minimum of chromium around 10.5%. The presence of chromium offers corrosion resistance to stainless steel and helps to resist scaling at elevated temperatures. Stainless steel also maintain the excellent toughness and has more attractive appearance. By considering on all the properties of stainless steel it is chosen to use. External retainer rings are used in shafts, grooves, pin joints and many other applications. This part is widely used in many machines.
